Dear Colleague, As you may be aware, there are several different views about the meaning of biodiversity. You are being contacted as someone who potentially has expertise in this area. We are conducting a survey to determine how people from different backgrounds make biodiversity judgments. If you are willing to participate, you will be asked to rank a few model ecosystems according to their relative amounts of biodiversity. The questionnaire will also ask a few biographical details, for example, about your area of expertise.
The questionnaire will take approximately 10 minutes. It is completely anonymous and your responses will be kept under lock and key. As a token of our gratitude, you will be eligible to win a $100 gift certificate at Amazon.com. The project is being conducted by Dr Stefan Linquist, Dr Jonathan Newman and Dr Karl Cottenie at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. If you have any questions, please contact Stefan Linquist at [email protected] (519) 824-4120 (56672) Thank you in advance for your co-operation, it is greatly appreciated. The link to the draw for the $250 gift voucher will appear at the end of the questionnaire. Please follow this link to the survey: http://app.fluidsurveys.com/s/biodiversityranking/ Regards, Karl Cottenie
