Description The Institute conducts research in the fields of ecology, evolution, behaviour and the environment. We seek an outstanding and innovative ecologist who is familiar with evolutionary concepts. Examples of areas of interest are animal ecology, community ecology, conservation biology, and functional ecology. The successful candidate will have a record of excellent research for their career stage. She or he will develop a strong, independent program of empirical research on animals or animal-plant interactions, and will contribute to graduate and undergraduate teaching (in English or German) in environmental science and ecology. The position will be filled preferentially at the level of associate or tenure-track assistant professor.
