Dear Colleagues: We would like to bring your attention to the following session, which is now open for abstract submission for the AGU Fall Meeting in San Francisco, December 9-13, 2013:
H082. Taking the Riverine Pulse: Monitoring and Research Through the Lens of Continuous Water Quality Data Description: Recent advances in in situ water quality monitoring technologies have improved monitoring programs and provided new insights into watershed hydrology and biogeochemical processes. As temporally-rich data sets continue to be collected, new ways of interpreting these data will be needed to reveal the dynamic nature of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. We welcome submissions that describe novel approaches for the interpretation of continuous water quality data in support of monitoring and research. Of specific interest are studies that challenge our current understanding of loads, long-term trends and short-term dynamics using individual sensors or suites of sensors for multiple constituents. Invited speakers include David Clow (USGS), Jonathan Duncan (UNC-Chapel Hill), Daniel Isaak (USFS), and William McDowell (Univ. New Hampshire) The abstract submission deadline is August 6, 2013 Co-conveners: Matthew Miller, U.S. Geological Survey, [email protected] Brian Pellerin, U.S. Geological Survey, [email protected] Michael Gooseff, Colorado State University, [email protected] Douglas Burns, U.S. Geological Survey, [email protected] Abstract Submission: https://fallmeeting.agu.org/2013/scientific- program/abstract-submission-policies/
