The 19th Central Hardwood Forest Conference will be held at Southern
Illinois University in Carbondale, IL March 10 - 12, 2014.
Presentations are sought on scientific research in support of any aspect of
management of central hardwood forest ecosystems. These include, but are not
limited to, traditional topic areas such as forest ecology, silviculture,
forest health, harvesting and utilization, inventory and biometrics, stand
dynamics and modeling, GIS/remote sensing, forest soils and hydrology,
recreation, and human dimensions of forest use and management.
The steering committee is especially interested in featuring sessions on
cross cutting management theme areas such as the following:
•Forest wildlife habitat
•Forest restoration in big river systems
•Fire and natural areas
•Invasive species
•Reclamation to forest cover
Presentation types include oral presentations and posters. The proceeding
will contain refereed papers or extended abstracts and be published as a US
Forest Service GTR.

Full manuscript submission for peer review (October 31, 2013)

750 word extended abstract for publication (January 31, 2014)
Poster presentations:
