The Department of Environmental Studies in the University of Illinois at
Springfield (UIS) is looking for an adjunct instructor to teach an online
section of ENS 448 Sustainable Food Systems this fall. Because the course is
online, the instructor doesn't have to be anywhere near Springfield. I have
the syllabus and materials used last fall to help assist in putting the course
together. This could be a fun course to teach, but I should also mention that
the stipend UIS offers adjuncts is quite low: $2,000 for those holding a
master's degree and $2,500 for those with a doctorate. (In rare cases our dean
may approve a slightly higher stipend based on teaching experience.) If you
are interested, please email me a copy of your CV/resume. Because the fall
semester starts in a month and a half, we plan to move very quickly in making a
decision (hopefully within a week). Dennis
