The Dochtermann lab at North Dakota State University is looking to recruit a post-doctoral researcher. The position will primarily be focused on a quantitative genetics study of behavioral variation in crickets. More specifically we will be examining how populations of crickets genetically differ in regards to behavioral syndrome structure and test the mechanisms giving rise to behavioral syndromes and genetic correlations. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in quantitative genetics or arthropod behavior, or, ideally, both. There will also be ample opportunity to pursue research questions besides those of this particular study.
The position is initially for 1.5 years, contingent on performance and funding, but may be extended further. Those interested should contact me at: [email protected] for additional details regarding the project, position requirements, and application process. Please include your CV with your initial correspondence. Formal departmental review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Thanks, Ned Dochtermann Ned A.
