She is an ecologist who has worked on diverse projects including: how invasive insect pests influence forest nutrient cycling, how shifts in winter climate regimes will impact multiple levels of forest community structure and function, and how atmospheric nitrogen deposition in the Catskills Mountains can influence forest nutrient dynamics.
