The third Symposium on Urbanization and Stream Ecology (SUSE3) will be
held May 15-17 in Portland, Oregon (USA) just prior to the Joint Aquatic
Sciences Meeting (JASM). SUSE3 will bring together urban stream ecologists
from around the globe to share research results, synthesize knowledge, and
discuss future research directions. The focus of the meeting is twofold:
(1) to improve the mechanistic understanding of urban streams and 2)
identify the mechanistic differences driven by global variation in
municipal infrastructure, climate, and native species characteristics. You
can find more information about the SUSE meeting on our website:

www.urbanstreams.wordpress.com

Please take the time to fill out a survey on the homepage to indicate your
interest in the meeting. We are using the responses to help guide the
program. Related to that, please note that the SUSE3 meeting is not part
of JASM, and anyone presenting in SUSE can then present again at the JASM
(in fact, we encourage all the SUSE participants to stay for the JASM
meeting). If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, you can
email Bob Smith at [email protected] or any of the other co-organizers
(http://urbanstreams.wordpress.com/organizing-committee/).

Follow our website to receive updates about the meeting or provide your
email in the survey to be contacted directly by the organizing committee.

Cheers,

The SUSE3 organizing committee
