Fisheries Biologist Assistant Professor Position Search #67138

Georgia Southern University’s Department of Biology invites applications for
an Assistant Professor Fisheries Biologist. The full text advertisement,

who will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including a course in
their specialty, and will join a strong research group in aquatic and marine
biology. Research in freshwater or marine ecosystems that can complement our
department’s integrative program exploring the biology of the Southeastern
coastal plain is especially welcome. The Department of Biology is housed in
a new 155,000-square foot Biological Sciences Building, which opened in
2013.

Required qualifications: Ph.D. by 31 December 2013 in the Biological
Sciences or other relevant field, demonstrated excellence in research,
potential to attract extramural funding. Preferred qualification: Post-
doctoral experience, expertise to teach the biology or management of
fisheries. Deadline for applications is November 8, 2013. The preferred
position starting date is August 1, 2014.

interests and teaching interests/philosophy, and three letters of reference.
