The Partnership for Interdisciplinary Studies of Coastal Oceans (PISCO) and 
Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) are pleased to announce a joint 
2-Year position, to be filled by a marine scientist skilled in ecological 
analytics and research-to-management communications. This new position will 
serve as a formal bridge between ODFW's Marine Reserves Program and the PISCO 
academic program.  We seek a post-graduate marine scientist (minimum Master's 
Degree) with a strong foundation of ecological knowledge, and the skills and 
attributes to bring together teams of researchers to advance approaches for 
assessing marine ecosystem condition and synthesizing monitoring data into 
useful products for scientists, managers, and the public. This position is 
offered through the Zoology Department at Oregon State University as a 
full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month fixed term Professional Faculty position with 
funding for two years (24-months).

TheResearcher will be responsible for (i) conducting analyses and facilitating 
communications among scientists involved in monitoring studies and research 
within Oregon's marine reserves, (ii) developing an analytical framework for 
integrating ecological and environmental data across diverse monitoring 
programs, and (iii) contributing to the creation of communication products for 
disseminating monitoring information on Oregon's marine reserves. Additionally, 
the position fosters coordination and information exchanges between ODFW's 
Marine Reserves Program and the MPA Monitoring Enterprise, a program of the 
California Ocean Science Trust.  

SALARY: commensurate with experience, including medical, dental and vision 
benefits, with additional support for travel and communications.
