Job Description:

Unity College invites applications for an academic-year (9-month) position at 
the Assistant or Associate Professor level in Conservation Biology. Unity 
College is a four-year liberal arts College that emphasizes Sustainability 
Science throughout the curriculum. We seek an individual who can support our 
Sustainability Science focus through demonstrated conservation research. The 
ideal candidate will be broadly trained in conservation biology, with expertise 
that complements existing faculty strengths. Such expertise may include but is 
not limited to studies of climate change, herpetology, parasitology, mycology 
and/or modeling.

The successful candidate will teach courses in conservation biology, ecology, 
introductory biology, a course in his/her area of expertise, and contribute to 
the Sustainability Science general education curriculum. They will also mentor 
undergraduate research students and participate in student advising and service.

Requirements:

Ph.D. degree in Biology or closely related field; commitment to excellence in 
teaching, research and outreach pertaining to conservation; demonstrated 
potential for scholarship/research and securing external funding for research; 
effective communication skills; and commitment to cultural diversity.
