A tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in *Vertebrate Biology* at
the University of Northern Iowa is available beginning August 2014. The
successful candidate will be expected to teach a course that covers
*Comparative
Vertebrate Anatomy* and develop courses within their area of expertise, and
to teach one or more of the following courses: *General Biology: Organismal
Diversity, General Biology: Cell Structure and Function *or* Anatomy and
Physiology *laboratories*.* A typical teaching load consists of nine
classroom and lab contact hours per week. The successful candidate will be
expected to seek extramural funding to maintain an active research program
that engages undergraduate and master’s students. The Department encourages
