Western State Colorado University announces two open rank, tenure-track searches in Environment and Sustainability for our new Master in Environmental Management (MEM) programs. The first search, for the MEM in Integrative Land Management, seeks an interdisciplinary environmental scientist with an environmental management background. The second search, for the MEM in Sustainable and Resilient Communities, seeks an interdisciplinary environmental social scientist or sustainability studies expert with an environmental management background. Positions start July 1, 2014 with some work on course development required before the start date. Responsibilities include teaching four graduate courses in the academic year, mentoring a cohort of master's projects each year, conducting an intensive residency for all MEM students each summer, and coordinating the respective MEM track. Both positions require a Ph.D. in a related environmental field, a record of applied research, and prior work in environmental or sustainability professions.
