Everyone, The Wilderness Center does a weekly podcast called "Wild Ideas...the Podcast." It is a science-based podcast that covers a wide range of natural science topics. It has been among the top science podcasts on iTunes for years. We have thousands of downloads each week.
We're always looking for interesting topics to discuss with scientists. If anyone on Ecolog-L might be interested in "appearing" on the podcast please let us know. The podcast is aimed at general audiences, so we really aren't interested in the details of the statistical analysis of data, but we are greatly interested in the species/processes you may study, what makes them interesting, and why you have a passion for the subject. This podcast is one way in which scientists can reach out to a general audience to share the significance and importance of their work. We've had more than one academic scientist tell us they ask their undergrads to listen to the podcast as a part of their learning. Gordon Gordon T.
