We have opportunities for graduate students to pursue a Ph.D. in the Biology in 
the Department of Biological Sciences at Florida International University, the 
State University of Florida at Miami (http://biology.fiu.edu/).  Active 
research projects in the lab include:

Arctic ecosystem responses to climate change

Carbon and water cycling in tropical rainforest

Climate and water management effects on carbon fluxes in Everglades marsh

Hurricane effects on subtropical forests.

University and have competitive GPA and GRE scores.  Support is by teaching 
assistantships with summer funding opportunities.  Highly qualified candidates
