The Department of Biology (http://biology.ucs.louisiana.edu) at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette seeks to fill three tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level to complement our strengths in wetland, marine and coastal biology. Research programs could include but are not limited to:
Landscape Ecology: Integration of research/data across ecosystems at regional and landscape scales, particularly along coastal margins and the land-sea interface. Estuarine Biology: Estuarine plankton dynamics, harmful algal blooms, water quality, nutrient cycling, trophic interactions and linkages to nearshore environments. Marine/estuarine Fish or Invertebrate Biology: Larval biology, benthic ecology, physiological ecology, molecular ecology or environmental genomics. Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in a relevant field and postdoctoral experience. Successful applicants will be expected to establish a vigorous, externally funded research program, provide instruction to undergraduates and participate in our doctoral program in Environmental and Evolutionary Biology. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
