We invite abstract submissions to a special session on aquatic insect emergence at the 2014 Joint Aquatic Sciences Meeting May 18-23 in Portland, Oregon.
The purpose of this special session is to synthesize current knowledge on insect emergence across freshwaters, including streams, rivers, lakes, and wetlands. We encourage a broad range of presentation topics related to emergent aquatic insects, such as phenology, ecological importance and population effects of this life history stage, and novel sampling methodologies. Please visit the session link below for additional information on this special session, and feel free to contact us with any questions. The deadline for abstract submission is February 7. http://www.sgmeet.com/jasm2014/sessionschedule.asp?SessionID=050 Session co-chairs: Jeff Muehlbauer ([email protected]) Ted Kennedy ([email protected]) Grand Canyon Monitoring & Research Center, Southwest Biological Science Center, US Geological Survey
