Job Title: Assistant Professor in Natural
Resources Management

DESCRIPTION: Lincoln University invites applications for an
assistant professor position in the Cooperative Research Programs. This
position is designated as 12-month non-tenure track with responsibilities of
approximately
50% research and 50% teaching in the area of natural resources and wildlife
management.
The successful candidate will teach courses related to natural resources at
both undergraduate and graduate levels and may also be required to teach
Geospatial Information Science (GIS) courses. He/she will advise undergraduate
students
and supervise graduate and undergraduate students’ research. The incumbent will
be expected to develop a nationally recognized research program, obtain
extramural funding for research and teaching, publish articles in peer-reviewed
journals, collaborate with faculty within the programs at Lincoln University
and other institutions, and contribute to relevant professional societies.
QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals are sought with a Ph.D. in natural
resources management, ecology, environmental science, or closely related field.
Applicants must have experience in using GIS, strong interest and demonstrated
ability
to conduct quality research and teaching and to advise undergraduate and
graduate students. Post-doctoral research and teaching experience is preferred.
Interpersonal, effective oral and written communication skills, and willingness
and ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a diverse group of
students and faculty are essential.
