Dear all,
I’m coordinating the largest coral reef restoration project in the Indian
Ocean, using the coral gardening
concept with mid-water ocean nurseries. As the second and final transplantation
phase will be completed by July this year one of my activities is the
production of a
toolkit on coral reef restoration. With the help of my team, we’ll be
explaining how to set up and run a coral reef restoration project as per our
own experience, from what type of knots to use in the nurseries to how to
organize
a restoration team.

Some of the people in this list will eventually become the
final users of this product. So I’m
requesting your input to make it user-friendly:

What would you like to see in the toolkit?

Please, contact me off list with your suggestions.
Alternatively, I’ll be attending the ASLO Ocean Sciences meeting in Hawaii (if
I don’t get lost flying from the antipodes), and I would be happy to meet and
talk about the project, the toolkit, coral reefs or even giant groupers.
Please, also contact me off list if you
want to meet during OSM.
