NEW Sponsorship and reduced registration fees-Registration is now open for the Biocultural Landscape Ecology UK Workshops with introductory presentations by Profs Gloria Pungetti and Oliver Rackham (Darwin college, Cambridge). These workshops would be of value to anyone interested in landscape ecology from a biological and cultural perspective and the research, policy and land management implications. Although these workshops are UK focused there are implications for other countries and we would welcome participants worldwide.The events are being organised by the International Association for Landscape Ecology UK (ialeUK) together with OPERAs and the Cambridge Centre for Landscape and People (CCLP). They will be highly interactive, aim to develop future collaborations and publications and there will be an opportunity for 10 participants to give PechaKucha of UK case studies.Fees for the workshop, coffee-breaks and lunch are £5 (ialeUK members), £15 (non-members) at Edinburgh (sponsored by OPERAs) and £50 (ialeUK members), £60 (non-members) at Cambridge. Workshop dates are Cambridge 28th March and Edinburgh 8th May 2014 and both locations have extensive transport links including international airports at Edinburgh and Stansted. Registration deadline is currently 28th February and student members of ialeUK can apply for an award to cover travel expenses and workshop fees up to £100 with student membership currently costing £15.
