La MICA Biological Station located in the mountains of central Panama is accepting applications for our RIO Program. We accept applicants year round, but are especially looking for participants to visit in June and July of 2014.
Our RIO (Research and Inventory Opportunities) Program allows students, recent graduates, or anyone looking for experience (biology, language, or other fields) in the tropical cloud forest, to visit and conduct a small research project, while interacting extensively with the local people. Participants pay reduced fees and many even get a publication published from their stay. We also can help you arrange to receive internship or independent research credit through your university. If you are interested, please email me to receive the RIO Program brochure to decide if the program is right for you. Thank you! Dr. Julie M.
