The Department Natural Resources Management invites qualified candidates to 
apply for a 9-month, tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor 
in Aquatic Sciences. A Ph.D. in fisheries, aquatic sciences, ecology, or 
closely related field is required. The anticipated start date is September 2014.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a strong commitment to research and 
teaching in the area of aquatic sciences. Preference will be given to 
field-oriented scientists with research expertise in areas such as 
lake/reservoir ecology, aquatic invertebrates, environmental flows, fish 
population genetics, conservation genetics, or human dimensions. The successful 
applicant will be expected to develop and maintain an active research program 
and attract extramural support through grants and contracts. Teaching 
responsibilities may include undergraduate courses, a course in Fisheries 
Conservation and Management, and one or more graduate classes in an area of 
expertise and interest, and University or department service.

Salary: Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and 
experience. The individual will be eligible for a generous benefit package made 
available to all faculty members at Texas Tech University.
