In 2009 I began shooting a documentary film that I wanted to use to teach the general public (including myself) about climate change and the importance of glaciers in day to day life. My plan was to take an empathetic look at the relationship of Andeans to their nearby glaciers and the subsequent worldwide effects that will be felt from their loss. That film is called Glacial Balance and DVDs are available at 20% off through this Saturday for both educational and personal use. There are also a few new trailers recently posted @ glacialbalance.com.

Glacial Balance is a country-by-country journey along the spine of the Andes, providing a narrative of the effects of climate change on communities and the scientific study processes being conducted while tropical glaciers still exist. Countries visited include Colombia, Ecuador, PerĂº, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.
