Hi everyone,I'm curious how the number of parameters for an ANOVA are
calculated. It was my understanding that we have one for the intercept, another
for thevariance, and one for each covariate (and any interaction terms) but
doeseach level of the factor get one?For example, let's say I was looking at a
model with one covariate with 4levels; would I have 3 parameters or 6?The model
is estimating the intercept and I'm assuming normal errors.Any citations on
this would be appreciated. I looked through Burnham andAnderson 2nd ed and
didn't see anything.Many thanks,Jeff
