Hi, I am about to purchase some new traps for chipmunks and ground squirrels. I see that tomahawk now makes to different types (original and professional). The original 102 and the professional 101SS. The biggest differences that I see between the two traps is the original is 2 lbs and 1 x 1/2 inch holes in the frame while the professional is 2.5 lbs and 1/2 x 1/2 inch holes in the frame.
The price for the two traps is practically the same so I was wondering if any one has any thoughts towards one or the other? I have had one or two squirrels in the past get their teeth caught in the original traps so I was wondering if the small holes would minimize the risk further? Or would more wire make the squirrels less likely to enter the traps? Thanks.
