Hi,

I would like to measure body temperature in different species of turtles
(both terrestrial and aquatic) using the least invasive method that is still
effective.

I am planning on using the thermochron i-button data logger, which I will
attach to the skin of the turtle using silicon under the carapace near one
of the back legs.

Does anyone know if the data logger will stay in place with this design and
possibly for how long (one week, a month, some months)? Or does anyone have
a suggestion for a better design?

To ensure optimal data reading and lower the risk of the data logger
becoming detached, how should I apply the silicon (e.g., in between the skin
and the data logger, completely encapsulating the data logger, or another way)?

Thanks in advance for the help,
Ylenia
