Position or Title:2M.S. Assistantships in Fisheries Population
   Dynamics and Conservation

*Agency/State: *Department of Fish and Wildlife Conservation, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA**

*Responsibilities: *Conduct population dynamics and stock assessment modeling in fisheries.Duties will also include coordinating with other investigators, preparing reports and presentations for scientific audiences, and submitting manuscripts based on his/her work to peer-reviewed journals. Expected starting date: Summer or Fall Semester 2014.

*Qualifications: *Applicants must have a B.S. in fisheries, ecology, statistics, or related field.The most qualified applicant will have a strong quantitative background, and a strong interest in population dynamics. Knowledge of computing languages will be an asset for appropriate candidates. **

*Salary: *The Assistantship covers tuition ($11,000-$12,000) and a competitive stipend ($20,000-$23,000) per year.**
