The 2014 annual meeting of the Ecological Society of America will be in Sacramento in August. You probably know that water is a hot topic in California now; for a recent newspaper story from Sacramento, see:

If you have research related to water in the west and haven't already contributed an abstract for a presentation, there's still another week to submit an abstract for a late-breaking poster presentation.

The call information is here: <http://esa.org/am/call-for-latebreaking-poster-abstracts/>http://esa.org/am/call-for-latebreaking-poster-abstracts/

It's too late to add new sessions but there's still this last chance to submit individual presentations. I'm sure research related to this topic would be of interest to the audience, and press.
