Quite a few ECOLOG-L subscribers have been getting messages recently that their subscriptions are being auto-deleted because of unsuccessful attempts by the mail server to send mail from the list to their addresses. Here's what I've found out about this:

Yahoo and AOL, among others [I think maybe hotmail too], have recently revised how they accept mail, which results in subscriptions being removed automatically. This has caused problems for mailing lists.

For these recipients, it's best to set their subscription options to:

     mime html digest

[send the message
set ecolog-l mime html digest
to
[email protected]]

Daily digest mailings do not cause problems for those ISPs, so you might want to switch to the digest option (which the above command will do).
