We are organizing a series of contributed paper sessions on Plant-Pollinator Interactions at the upcoming joint meeting of the British Ecological Society (BES) and the Societe Francaise d'Ecologie (SFE) in Lille, France on Dec 9-12, 2014. We hope to encourage interaction and collaboration amongst pollination ecologists on topics ranging from pollinator behavior and plant mating patterns to large scale studies of plant-pollinator networks and strategies for conservation of biodiversity. We have chosen a contributed paper format, rather than a symposium, to encourage broad participation, and anticipate that 40-60 talks will be presented.

Known for its stunning architecture and excellent restaurants, Lille was named a European Capital of Culture in 2004. Lille is a 60 minute train ride from Paris, 80 minutes by train from London, and 35 minutes from Brussels.

More information about the BES / SFE meeting may be found at:
http://www.britishecologicalsociety.org/events/current_future_meetings/2014-annual-meeting/

If you are planning to attend, please be sure to designate # 27 Plant-Pollinator Interactions on the BES/SFE abstract submission form. Also, please send an email to Jeff Karron, Emmanuelle Porcher, and Mathilde Dufay so that we have a sense of the number of speakers. Organized contributed paper sessions are new to BES, and we want to ensure that there will be a sufficient number of sessions to accommodate all of the participants.
