Please participate in the 2014 American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting <http://fallmeeting.agu.org/2014/> (San Francisco, Dec 15-19) Session 3362 <https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm14/webprogrampreliminary/Session3362.html>:
*Climate Indicators: Developing and Testing Indicators to Convey Information to Support Decisions <https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm14/webprogrampreliminary/Session3362.html>* *A climate indicator is a calculated value that describes the status, rates, or trends of physical, natural, or social systems. Climate indicators summarize a range of information about physical climate conditions, natural system and human sector impacts, vulnerabilities, and preparedness. Thus, this definition includes indicators where climate is one of many stressors impacting the observed changes, information that is critical to support management decisions. This session will highlight the development of new climate indicators for the National Climate Assessment and other endeavors, plans for a national set of indicators through the U.S. Global Change Research Program, and the use of indicators to support adaptation and sustainability decisions.* Abstracts are *due August 6, 2014*: https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm14/webprogrampreliminary/Session3362.html http://fallmeeting.agu.org/2014 *Co-Conveners:* *Paul Houser*, George Mason University, Fairfax, VA *Melissa Kenney, *University of Maryland, College Park, MD *Allison Leidner, *NASA Headquarters, Washington, DC *Lucia Tsaoussi, *NASA Headquarters, Washington, DC ____________________________________________________________ Dr. Melissa A.
