Dear Colleagues:

We apologize for cross-posting.

One last call for abstracts for a session in the 2014 Fall AGU meeting.

Please consider submitting an abstract to the following session for AGU Fall
Meeting in San Francisco, CA, 15-19 December 2014
(https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm14/webprogrampreliminary/Session2921.html).

Session Name: Multi-sensor Long Term Data Records of Land Surface Parameters
for Global Change Research

Session ID#: 2921 (Biogeosciences)

Session Description:
The frequent collection of global synoptic satellite imagery has contributed to
the creation of a unique and long term data record about the Earth surface
conditions from Landsat, AVHRR, MODIS, SPOT-VEGETATION, VIIRS, and other
sensors. Combined these records account now for more than 40 years of
quasi-daily Earth observations. These multi-sensor and multi-scale land surface
data records have become invaluable tools for environmental and global change
studies. This session will bring together data producers, users, and modelers,
and encourages scientific contributions along three major topics: 1) Methods
and algorithms of data products/records generation, 2) Validation and
characterization of these products/records, 3) Use of these products/records
for Earth science research and application. We particularly encourage
demonstrations of data use, modelling, and value of these records to Earth
science.
