The conference theme is 'Urban landscape ecology: science, policy and practice' and will be held at King's College London, London, UK, 1-3 September 2014. We will have three days of presentations, networking events and field excursions. The full conference programme is available at: http://iale.org.uk/conference2014/schedule The conference has four symposia on: - Mapping and Modelling Urban Landscapes - Managing Urban Landscapes - Urban Patches and Heterogeneity - Urban Rivers and Water These symposia will bring together academics, practioners and policy-makers to consider how concepts from landscape ecology can inform the maintenance and restoration of healthy and properly functioning natural environments across urban and peri-urban landscapes as the foundation of sustained economic growth, prospering communities and personal well-being.
