The US Environmental Protection Agency's Western Ecology Division
(WED), located in Corvallis, OR, addresses scientific issues of major
importance in formulating public policies, programs, and regulations
to protect and manage ecological resources. WED is seeking a one
year, half-time student contractor to assist in hydrologic
landscape-climate change research at WED and, specifically, to
develop a digital aquifer permeability map for the southwestern
US. This work will support an effort to extend a hydrologic
landscape/climate change analysis of the Pacific Northwest to the
three-state southwestern US (California, Arizona, and Nevada).
Qualifications include a Master of Science degree in geology,
hydrology, water resources, engineering, or related field of study
within the last 24 months. Deadline for submissions is 4:30 PM EDT,
Sept. 18, 2014.
