ASSISTANT SPECIALIST

The Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of California, 
Riverside invites applications for an Assistant Specialist to work on a 
research project developing new and innovative methods for measuring rates of 
atmospheric deposition in southern California. The successful candidate will 
help develop field instruments, collect and prepare field samples for analysis, 
perform chemical analyses, and prepare manuscripts and presentations. An M.S. 
degree, or equivalent experience, in biology, ecology, environmental sciences 
or related field and a proven publication record are required. Minimum of 
one-year of experience operating automated instrumentation for nutrient 
analyses of water, soils and plants is required. Ability to work at remote 
field sites and a valid California driver's license are required.
