The Department of Biological Sciences at Kent State University seeks qualified candidates who have strong teaching capabilities to apply for a nine month non-tenure track position in the instructional track, at the rank of Assistant Professor effective Fall 2015. The ideal candidate will be qualified to teach undergraduate courses including but not limited to freshman level Biology Majors courses, evolution and genetics. The normal teaching responsibility of this position is the equivalent of fifteen (15) credit hours per semester, with credit given for assigned activities that support faculty development and student success. A Ph.D. or equivalent is required along with significant teaching experience in Biology at the undergraduate level. Experience in lecturing in Biology Majors classes, managing large classes, and in distance education is preferred. The successful candidate will join a growing and thriving department with excellent research and educational programs.
