Biodiversity, Citizen Science, and Informatics

Opportunity for a U. S. Graduate Student to
 Present at an International Conference

Deadline Sept 9th, 2014

The National Science Foundation has funded a symposium and workshop entitled 
"Citizen science: a growing approach to biodiversity monitoring" at the 
Biodiversity Informatics Standards (TDWG ) 2014 Annual Conference to be held in 
Elmia Congress Centre, Jönköping, Sweden, October 27-31, 2014. The symposium 
and workshop focuses on field monitoring programs. We are looking for a 
graduate student to present at the meeting and participant in the workshop.

Funding is available for one graduate student, who is a US citizen.  The grant 
will cover the costs of airfare, registration, and room and board at the 
conference. Preference will be given to Ph.D. who have worked with and/or 
studied citizen science biodiversity programs.  Women and minorities are 
encouraged to submit an application.
