The Department of Biological Sciences at Bridgewater State University seeks a wildlife ecologist with focus on vertebrates. Candidate must be strongly committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching, academic advising, and developing a program of independent research that has a substantial field-based component and includes mentoring original undergraduate research. Teaching requirements will include General Ecology, Comparative Chordate Anatomy, participation in General Biology for Biology majors, and upper-level elective courses in the candidate's area of expertise that will complement the major. In addition, the candidate will support the curation of the animal natural history collection held by the department. A new science complex offers state-of-the-art teaching and research spaces. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and an earned Ph.D. by June 2015.
