Hello! We are excited to announce the extension of deadlines for the Atlantic Estuarine Research Society (AERS)!
The Final Deadline for AERS is Monday October 5 for: • Online Registration • Abstract Submission • Student Travel Awards Broadened Scope of Meeting! We are excited to have three keynote speakers and a contributed session on “Sandy and Superlative Storms: Resilience, Recovery, Restoration”. We are also excited to be expanding the scope of the meeting to ALL meteorological and climate interactions with and effects on coastal / estuarine systems and their watersheds! There will also be a General Estuarine/Coastal session. If you have been thinking about contributing an abstract, now is the time to do so. If you have any questions regarding the abstract submission process or if your abstract will fit the scope of this meeting, please contact the AERS Program Chair, Dr. Ben Fertig, [email protected] As you may know, AERS is the FIRST professional society in the United States devoted solely to the science and management of our nation’s estuaries. We particularly encourage abstracts for oral and poster sessions from researchers, students, government, and industry. The Atlantic Estuarine Research Society (AERS) brings together students, scientists, managers, and educators from the states of DE, MD, NC, NJ, PA, and VA and Washington, DC to discuss estuarine and coastal environmental issues and policies. It is our intent to a foster broader interest in our environment by increasing public awareness of current issues. Ben Fertig and Cassie Gurbisz, AERS Program Committee
