Why just narrow the education on topic of this scale to the ecology field? It's 
everyone's concern. It should be in the common knowledge realm by now already. 
Most folks in ecological field are aware of this( extinction). The 
question/goal should be how educated and active to respond the rest of the 
human race is. The change doesn't always need to come from leaders. Everyday, 
small and large decisions that we all make are directly and indirectly 
responsible drivers of the process .
