Andrew Sabin Family Foundation Turtle Grants

The Andrew Sabin Family Foundation (ASFF) Turtle Grant Awards are granted to
organizations or individuals for conservation or research projects dealing
with any species of tortoise and freshwater turtle, with either partial or
full support as funding allows. Applications will be reviewed by a small
advisory board of leading global turtle conservationists representing the
Turtle Conservancy (TC), the IUCN/SSC Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle
Specialist Group, the Turtle Conservation Fund (TCF) and Conservation
International (CI).

All species of freshwater and terrestrial chelonians are eligible, provided
a convincing rationale is included why the species’ conservation status
merits funding. Awards at the present time are approximately in the US
$2,500 to $5,000 range per project, with exceptional funding up to $10,000.
Award recipients enter into contractual agreement with the Turtle
Conservancy to produce the proposed work.

Deadline is October 15, 2014
