The Central Arizona–Phoenix Long-Term Ecological Research (CAP LTER) program
in the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability at Arizona State
University (ASU) invites applications for a part-time, benefits eligible,
(20 hours/week) entomological research specialist position. The entomologist
will work closely with CAP LTER staff and project investigators to support
long-term monitoring and research studies of arthropods. 

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area
of assignment AND two years related research experience; OR, six years
research experience appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, any
equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable
knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired qualifications: evidence of a B.S. or M.Sc. in entomology or a
related field; experience identifying arthropods to a fine taxonomic
resolution for at least two years; experience in supervising student
employees; experience with databases, biocollections data (e.g.,
DarwinCore); experience with macro-photography.
