One-year Faculty Fellow in Environmental Studies (Ecology)

The Environmental Studies Program at Colby College invites applications for a 
one-year sabbatical 
replacement position in Ecology to begin September 1, 2015. The successful 
candidate will have a 
specialization in the ecology of terrestrial ecosystems along with an interest 
in the application of 
ecological principles to the solution of environmental problems.  We welcome 
applications from 
broadly trained ecologists with experience and expertise in areas such as 
population or community 
ecology, conservation biology, restoration ecology, and landscape ecology. 
Candidates should have 
a Ph.D. and a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Familiarity with 
liberal arts colleges 
and teaching experience is desirable. Teaching responsibilities will include 
two courses required 
for the Environmental Studies major with laboratory (Introduction to Ecology 
and Advanced and 
Applied Ecology), and one additional intermediate-level elective course in the 
candidate’s area of 
specialty. All courses will serve majors in the Environmental Studies Program, 
a strategic priority of
