We are looking at purchasing a Trimble R6 or R8 Rover system to help us with our wetlands research. Most of what we have planned for it is elevation, vegetation, and erosion mapping in wetlands. The price quote we received is pretty close for the two models, but we are curious to know really what the difference is between the two in terms of ease of use and functionality. Is there any reason we should go for the more expensive version, even if they are close in price?
