Good morning,
I plan to reorganize a Conservation Biology course I teach into a "case
study" approach. I envision this to be a question driven class that
will lead my students and I to find and read literature that addresses
these questions. Example question: What are the particular genetic
problems faced by small populations of species of conservation concern.
We go and find and share some of the basic concepts important for this
question. We go and find and discuss 1 paper or papers that apply
concepts and measures to delineate or solve these problems.
Has anyone on the list approached a conservatoin biology clas in this
way and would you be willing to share any ideas, resources, curricula,
syllabi, etc with me and the list?
