SOUTHEAST EXOTIC PEST PLANT COUNCIL (SE-EPPC) & GEORGIA EXOTIC PEST PLANT
COUNCIL (GA-EPPC) JOINT CONFERENCE & SYMPOSIUM

NOVEMBER 12-14, 2014

UGA Hotel and Conference Center

Athens, Georgia

As non-native plants have been introduced into the landscape, either
intentionally or unintentionally, several have proven to have an adverse
impact upon native habitat, property values, and human health. The
Conference will focus on issues regarding these non-native invasive plants,
including efforts to control them. The agenda includes presentations by
numerous professionals. The keynote speaker, Dr. Douglas Tallamy, Professor
and Chair of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology, University of Delaware, and
author of “Bringing Nature Home – How You Can Sustain Wildlife with Native
Plants”, will discuss how the loss of native plants is having an adverse
impact upon other natives, including insects and the wildlife that depend
upon them.
