Dear colleagues:

I'm posting this message because we need all the help we can get with a running
fundraising
campaign to build a research station for the foundation I’m currently
directing.

Biodiversa Colombia Foundation was established in 2006 by a group of
repatriates and highly
trained Colombian ecologists; it is a local NGO that promotes conservation and
sustainable
development in Colombia.

After many years of hard work, the Foundation was able to purchase some land
(78 Ha) to establish
a natural reserve in a region of high conservation priority in Colombia: the
wetlands and
rainforests of the middle Magdalena river Valley (State of Antioquia). This
area has experience
dramatic ecological changes in the last years despite being an area with wide
variety of ecosystems
that are highly diverse and host many critically endangered species.

We just released a Crowd-funding campaign to build a research station in the
reserve; this station
will be a base camp for our research, conservation, awareness-raising and local
community
strengthening projects in the area.

Any help will put us one step closer to make the station a reality.

Thousand thanks for any support/comment.
(My apologies for double postings)
