Team Snake Panama (teamsnakepanama.weebly.com) and The Orianne Society (www.oriannesociety.org) have teamed up to help reduce snakebites and conserve snakes in Panama and Costa Rica with Project BRASS.The biggest issue is that people don't know how to identify which snakes are venomous so all are killed and bites aren't always treated in medical facilities. We are working to distribute copies of our bilingual book The Venomous Snakes and their Mimics of Panama and Costa Rica to communities, especially in remote areas. We will acknowledge anyone who donates $25 through our GoFundMe page (http://www.gofundme.com/dh9p8c) with a sticker inside of a book that will be given to a community. This is a great gift idea or way to acknowledge an organization, business, laboratory, friend, or a in memory of. The books that we have already donated in Panama are shown to everyone who passes through the community and are utilized regularly by communities members. This is a great way to give a little and help a lot in a major public health issue in Central America and around the world.Thank you!Donate: http://www.gofundme.com/dh9p8c) Julie M.
