Dear colleagues, The 6th International Barcode of Life Conference will be held from August 18 21, 2015 at the University of Guelph.
The conference website is now live: http://dnabarcodes2015.org/ Since 2003, DNA barcoding has become the largest research program in biodiversity science, one examining all eukaryote kingdoms and spanning many nations. Reflecting the scope of the program, numerous major international collaborative projects are underway. The 6th Conference will sustain traditions established by the five earlier conferences; it will showcase the latest scientific achievements and socio-economic implications of work conducted by the DNA barcode research community. The theme of the 6th Conference, Barcodes to Biomes, signals the ongoing expansion of our communitys research agenda from studies on particular sets of species in particular places to work which is creating the capability to examine entire biotic assembles at local and global scales. The scientific program for the 6th Conference will include 30 Keynote and Plenary presentations delivered by researchers whose past scientific contributions have been extremely influential. However, it is certain that the scientific impact of the conference will be greatly enhanced by discussions arising from the parallel sessions and poster presentations. Aside from these core elements of the conference program, pre-conference workshops will provide a forum for detailed discussions of major topics, while post-conference excursions will facilitate further networking. Registration for the 6th International Barcode of Life Conference opens on January 15, 2015 and will continue throughout the conference. Early registration closes on May 31, 2015. On-line registration will close at 4:30 pm Eastern Time on August 14, 2015. All registrations after this date will be processed at on-site rates. The registration fees include a comprehensive package of scientific and social events. Further details can be found at: http://dnabarcodes2015.org/registration/ Abstracts will be accepted from January 15 April 15, 2015, using the abstract submission form that will be posted by January 15.
