I am seeking a motivated student to pursue an MS graduate degree in Watershed
Sciences. The student will conduct intensive water quality sampling in rural
Louisiana over a period of 12 months. The goal of the research is to assess
transfer and environmental fate of riverine nutrients and carbon.

Minimal qualifications include a background in water quality or a similar
discipline (e.g. hydrology, soil science, environmental chemistry,
environmental toxicology, etc.). A strong work ethic and the ability to work
both as part of a team and independently are critical. The student must possess
a valid U.S. driver's license and is able to obtain a permit to drive a
university vehicle.

Interested candidates should send an email describing their past experience and
their motivation for pursuing a graduate degree, along with a resume,
unofficial college transcripts, GRE scores, and the names and contact
information for 2-3 references to [email protected]. Missing any of the above
documents will not be considered. Review of applications will begin immediately
and continue until the position is filled. Start date is expected to be in the
summer semester of 2015.
